It’s already common knowledge that Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the world. His jumpshot. His passing. His free throw ritual. He’s a basketball player to the fullest, making it seem as if he was born to put the ball in the hoop.
And if that wasn’t enough, he even chose to marry a woman who is also a professional basketball player. Her name is Monica Wright, and she plays for the Minnesota Lynx. They got engaged this past Sunday.
Two fun facts about Kevin and Monica.
For the 2012-2013 season, Kevin became only the 2nd player EVER to make at least 90% of his free throws, 50% of his field goals and 40% of his 3-pointers in the same season while also scoring at least 25 points a game. The other player to do so is Larry Bird.
As a senior at the University of Virginia, Monica was named the ACC Player of the Year, ACC Defensive Player of the Year, and the National Defensive Player of the Year.
So, perhaps their first kid will literally be born to put the ball in the hoop.
To Kevin and Monica!
